Hi, all
I am migrating from WinNT4 to Linux, and I could not configure the
Windows emulator (wine) to work with MPLAB (in fact, I could not run any
WinNT app smoothly), so I am looking for some help on "wine" config files.
Anyone using ICE2000 also?
Thanks
Francisco

MPLAB worked OK for me with Wine 0.0.2 using it in "unmanaged" window mode
running from the native Win98 DLL set in Win98 mode. I didn't use it much,
but it seemed to assemble programs correctly. I'd suggest getting the latest
development snapshot from the winehq site.
I had much better results when using a Windows 98 install as a base,
mounting the Windows filesystem then configuring Wine on top of that.
I expect you might have problems getting the external ports to work with a
programmer, but I didn't try it.
Good luck!

I ran the 16 bit version of MPLAB in wine with success (and minor window
decoration issues). Also one or two C compilers I tried. Nothing special
needs to be done for this (16 bit) version.

Would you mind to send your "conf" files so I can compare with mine ones?
Thanks to all!!

Im doing the same thing, but am not interested in running wine. I'd go
for the GNUPIC project.
Now all i gotta do is find a programmer for my warp13a that works under
Redhat 7.3

Take a look at tm4-13.tgz here:
http://evilbill.org/PIC
It should work.
