'[PIC]: accessing port pins'
I am using PBP to send a string to a VFD using LCDOUT with a
17C766. I need to replace a command in assembler. I want to send a
timming pulse out of PORTH.3. Usually PBP would use the following
command to do this.
bsf LCD_RWREG, LCD_RWBIT
where LCD_RWREG, LCD_RWBIT is defined as PORTH and 3. It is not
working. So I need to know how to specify the bank, port address and
pin number in assembler. So that I can make the chang3e to the PBP

PORT B belongs to the SFR (Special File Register) Area in this PIC. To
access Port B you must select first bank 0 of the SFR by executing a:
instruction. If you are modifying an existing code, be careful not to
interfere with instructions modifying other SFRegisters afterwards
(because of your changing of current bank). To be sure of what you are
doing look at the 30289a.pdf document (datasheet). Page 45 shows a
summary of the file Register map including specific banks.
