Hi All.

I recently started debugging with an MPLAB-ICE2000, and I'm
frustrated by how slow single-stepping is, even if I set the number
of lines in the trace buffer to just 1. I have to wait approx. 4
seconds after each Step (F7) before MPLAB "comes back" and displays
where I am in my C source code.

Single-stepping with PICMASTER is much faster. Any ideas why?
Anything I can do to speed things up?

Simple - Picmaster uses a dedicated I/O card to allow direct acccess
MPLAB ICE has to squeeze everything through the parallel port. You gain portability but lose speed.
