Yes, the listserver does indeed bounce messages to it that contain "OK" on
the first line.

Is this going to get fixed any time soon?

I find it really annoying to get all of these Error messages ...

This time I got a new message and I did not exceed 1000 lines by a long shot.

I even had MSWord count the lines for me and it was only half a page.

Something is really messed up here.

Are you still receiving them Olin, I was under the impression that the
problem was now fixed since I haven't had anything forwarded to me in about
a day. TTYL

In the past week or so, I've received a *few* of these (all claiming duplicates), but now I get it everytime I post, so I've just put in a filter that checks for the keywords and moves it to trash.  I've set up the filter to match by subject AND the sender, so I should still see the updates/ongoings from anyone else .... until it gets resolved.

Perhaps if others put in a filter, then we'll all see less of it, and there will be less discussion of it until it's resolved.  I'm sure the admins are working on it.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Unfortunately we NEED people to forward us the messages, none of us receive
them at all, I can't explain why. Thanks, TTYL

Hmmm... maybe I should set my filter to forward to you directly :-)

I'll send you a few.

And the point of this message is to that I can get another reject message.

Cheers,
-Neil.

To everyone, please note that the content of the message isn't important,
it's the headers that are important. A standard "forward" may not include
the necessary headers. Thanks, TTYL

I wasn't going to respond to this because I don't want yet another of
those annoying error message.  OK, just this one more post until this
problem is fixed.

I get one of those message EVERY TIME I send a message to the list.  This
has been going on for nearly a week now.  The message gets thru, but some
idiot ISP bounces it back to the list using the original FROM address.
The server correctly detects it as a duplicate post, but sends the error
message to me because my FROM address was used.

I did post the headers of one of those messages a day or two ago.  This
time I attached the complete message.  Nothing has changed, it's still
covadmail bouncing the original message back to the list.

Now I'm going to get another one of those messages.  Argh!

Your message  is being returned to  you unprocessed because it  appears to have
already been distributed to the PICLIST list. That is, a message with identical
text (but  possibly with different  mail headers) has  been posted to  the list
recently, either by you or by someone else. If you have a good reason to resend
this message  to the  list (for instance  because you have  been notified  of a
hardware failure with  loss of data), please  alter the text of  the message in
some way and resend  it to the list. Note that altering  the "Subject:" line or
adding blank lines at  the top or bottom of the message  is not sufficient; you
should  instead add  a  sentence or  two  at  the top  explaining  why you  are
resending the  message, so that the  other subscribers understand why  they are
getting two copies of the same message.

I would look for a subscriber at atrbiotech.com; it looks like this is
the mail server that is bouncing it, and covad is simply an upstream MX
for them.

The only subscriber who uses that ISP has already had their account
disabled, to no effect it appears. TTYL

If it bothers you that much Olin the create a filter, we are doing the best
we can and I don't appreciate the tone you have taken here.

FWIW we disabled the account of people using covad (and an associated ISP),
we thought that had resolved the problem, obviously it hasn't. Supposed
covad resells it's services to a multitude of other ISPs so the problem
could be due to one of those subscribers. I have yet to receive a single
message back. TTYL
