Try a tilde (~)

ie., change:

to:
http://members.socket.net/~llile/acad1.htm

For some reason, Kevin, when I send text to the PIClist, and that text is
read by a copy of Eudora, the reply from Eudora email users comes back with
this garbled code instead of brackets.  I have pulled out all my hair trying
to fix it, and have given up.  Since I don't have Eudora around, I can't
really set up a test.  There is some magical Outlook express MIME/text
setting that is set on my computer, and my efforts to change it have not
resulted in anything but trouble and the more I mess around with them the
worse it gets.   My apologies, try to ignore it.  Aren't computers wonderful
<Sarcasm> ?

I don't think the problem occurs only with Eudora. I use a Hotmail account
with the Netscape 4.7 browser.

Sometimes your brackets come through as intended and sometimes they come
through garbled.

Hi Bob,

He doesn't mean that you have to have Eudora to SEE the problem, he says
that posts which originate from him are OK, but when someone with Eudora
REPLIES to his posts, the REPLY has the weird encoding(which is visible to
ANY email client), which then gets perpetuated whenever someone replies to
the reply. Do I have it right Lawrence?

Thanks for the clarification.

I wonder if Eudora users can see the brackets getting mangled when they post
their replies. I use the '[PIC]', '[OT]', etc portions of the subject line
to filter emails into separate mail folders. Maybe I should add the '+AFs-'
versions as well. :=)
