'[PIC]: Program code in a eeprom'

Hello:
I want my pic to switch between 3 different programs saved in a eeprom.
To do this I was thinking in (perhaps) microprocessor mode.
Where can I find huge information about this mode?
Thanks,
Carlos

The 16f87x series allow the running program to overwrite program memory.
You might start with those datasheets and check out a few of the
"bootloader" programs that use this feature.

Um, the manual?

Are the 3 programs small enough so that they could all fit into the internal
memory together?  Even if this takes a bigger PIC, that would be simpler
than providing the external memory and messing around with microprocessor
mode.  By the way (if I recall right) only some 17 and 18 series PICs can do
microprocessor mode.

This is fine as long as the program only needs to be switched a few times.
The internal program memory is only rated for 1000 writes on many of the
flash parts.

The only thing I found about microprocessor mode reading the manual
(pic 18c452) was this:
"Chapter 9: System bus. Please check the Microchip web site for Revision
B of the System Bus Section."
Searching the Microchip web site I only found the same information.
