'[PIC]: PICSTART Plus PLCC adapters'

Does anyone have/use the PLCC adapter(s) for the PICSTART Plus?  Is this a simple adapter to wire the appropriate pins together between the PLCC socket and the 40 pin DIP, or is there addiitonal logic here thatI'm not aware of?

My original plan was to do just that... make a simple adapter plate to connect the appropriate pins between the socket/headers, based on the programming specifications for the PLCC and 40 pin DIPS...

Seeing that the PLCC adapters were so much money at DigiKey (almost as much as the programmer itself), I am beginning to wonder if maybe I'm missing something...

Thanks,
Steve
