'[PIC]: PIC16F877 Programmer (MOD-EMUP-A)'

Greetings,

There is a MOD-EMUP-A programmer in my lab. from "Modular Circuit
Technology". I see a long list of supported PICs even 16F83 and 16F84, but
not 16F877. Is there any chance that I say download a driver and program
16F877 with this device as well? I'm talking about 40 PDIP, so hardware-wise
the chip is compatible with the device.

Cheers,
Ocean

Hardly you will find, but you can try Jameco for an upgrade in the software of your burner...

Good luck. I have a MOD-MUP...  older version of the MOD-EMUP.  I think
these are cranked out with no intention whatsoever of updating them, you
just shell out way too much money for a new one.  Jameco will pretty much
disavow any knowledge of it if it's not in the current catalog, and I've had
no luck even finding the supposed manufacturer.  Mine now gathers dust and
serves as a reminder not to buy such items from vendors who don't support
them.
