Okay, what is it that I keep doing in MPLAB's editor that makes the cursor
go completely away?

Is this a bug, or a really really asinie feature?  When I'm editing, and I
double-click to select a word, and go to overtype it, nothing I type gets to
the source file I'm editing.  The only way I've found to get my cursor back
is to compile.

I know this is probably in the manual, but could someone please enlighten me
anyway?

(Replies to me personally would probably be better than replying to the
list.)

Thanks in advance!

-Matt

It's a bug.

You can usually get the cursor back by switching to another application and
back again.

Got a wheel mouse ?

FWIW I find that if I move the wheel this happens...

IMHO MPLAB could REALLY do with a port to WIN32...
