Friends, Microchip has finally released info about there new dsPIC chips. Check out the following link: http://www.microchip.com/10/promos/dspic/index.htm Has instruction set info, product overview and a few other things. "Up to 144K FLASH" "Up to 8K bytes of RAM" "Up to 4K bytes of EEPROM" "Two 40 bit wide accumulators" "30MIPS at 120MHz" They look like they will be very nice to work with. Question is, when will they be available, and will my PICStart Plus program them? Ooooh...Ahhhhh Looks really neat. Register indirect addressing with pre/post inc/dec (tally operations! you guys will love this, can't wait to see how they messed it up though ;oD) Multiply, multiword shifting, barrel shifting (yay) I wish I had time to read the datasheet right now. I'm going to the Masters Seminar in Phoenix. I have signed up for the dsPic class. I will let you know what I think when I return. Any body else going to the Masters? Definitely the night before. I would hate to have to try to register and get settled in the first day of the seminar.
