Also, I've seen a number of these Logitech web-cams (352x222 pix I think)
going for $9 + $10ship(expensive (USD) on a number of
auctions.  You can get a parallel out version and pump the data out as quick
as you can.  You should be able to get a few frames a second this way.  I'm
pretty sure there are linux sources for these devices --to get timing
information, but you might research that before you decide to go this way.
