Hi 2 All

I need help for one of my friends.
where I can find for him REAL sites for newbies so he can understand how pic
works (examples, step by step programming etc..) he doesn't know pics at
all. but really want to learn it.

any help will be most appreciated !!!!!

       There are 2 sites higly recommended. One of them is http://www.bubblesoftonline.com from Tony, nice site, nice circuits, nice things with a nice price. The other I don't have it handy, is that pic course avaiable in some languages, even portuguese (is a italian site, anyone remembers the link???).

If you already understands microcontrollers, just not specifically PICs,
just read the manual for whatever PIC you want to use.  It's all in there,
and is reasonably well written.  I recommend starting with the 16F876 as the
"universal" hobby PIC.

The one I remember was called "Understanding & Programming the PIC16C84"
by Jim Brown, and it's on the PicList site somewhere.  It's how
I got started.

Unless the 28-pin footprint of an f876 is required I would always go for the
40-pin 16f877, which is almost the same price (from some source even
cheaper).
