Hi all,

Is anyone interested in taking over the Fobbit idea.

I got a rather large order and it's a bit big for my tiny shop to
tackle.

Something around 200 assembled units.

Assembly is what I do.  Quality oriented, reasonable and pretty fast.

Wierd name I suppose :-)

It's short for fob programmer. It is used to update systems based on
16F87x or 16F8x processors. It needs no external power or PC, can
program ICSP in HVP and LVP modes, stores up to 2 HEX files and the
target chip is left code protected afterwards if need be.

A good example of it's use is some companies regularly send
representatives across the country or even overseas to upgrade software
on thier systems. They can now buy and preprogram a Fobbit, and send
that overseas or where ever and instruct the customer how to upgrade,
which is usually just connect and press a button. Tons of money saved.

The Fobbit is then either returned or discarded.

Imagine that - a disposable programmer :-)

James,

A fobbit is a distant relative of a Goblin! :-)

It's actually a really cool little device that Tony developed to program
Flash PICs in the field. All you need is a little gadget the size of the
remote for your car and a cable and you can re-program Flash PIC based
products in the field.

I think it's an excellent product and would be happy to manufacture them
for Tony if he is interested.

Check them out at http://www.bubblesoftonline.com/fobbit/fobbit.html

Regards,

Sean
