'[PIC]: Alphanumeric display code...'

Does anyone know where there is a good alphanumeric LCD resource website
or other information, as I want to incorperate such a component into a
project.

It would be helpful if the resource not only had details of how to
display things on the screen, but also how to display things in specific
areas of the screen (so you can just update something on the display
such as the time without having to refresh the whole thing).

Any help would be gratefully received!!

Many thanks.

Oliver.

P.S. Sorry if you have received this message before, but I forgot that
the list was set to NoMail, so I didn't receive any replies!! However, I
assume that if it is set up as NoMail it probably doesn't display your
sent messages either... right??!?!?!?!!!!

Go to http://www.myke.com

Check out his PIC resources - he's got a great LCD interface page and a
2-wire interface, too.  Works perfectly, I've used it plenty of times.

I started using pics from scratch last year.  One of my first projects was using an LCD screen.  I used the following invaluable two tutorials:

HOW TO USE INTELLIGENT L.C.Ds (part one) by Julyan Ilett
Everyday Practical Electronics - February 1997 edition
Pages 84-89

HOW TO USE INTELLIGENT L.C.Ds (part two) by Julyan Ilett
Everyday Practical Electronics - March 1997 edition

Yes. These two editions have excellent information regarding
the LCD displays. Great place to start with!
