Hi,

I am looking for a reliable programmer for the 16F87X family.

Just right now I am using the AN589 and P16PRO hardware.

As software programmers I am using the PROPIC and the PICALL.  both of them
give me problems when programming the 16F87X but work correctly for the 16F84.

does anybody use one of those without problems ?
does anybody know a good and free one that could programm the 87X by using one of these hardware schematics ?

thanks

david

Well, recently I have maded a programmer for the flash line
of PICs. The programmer uses serial port of a PC or another computer
and sends and receive packets of ASCII printable characters.
Because this, it can be used in any operating system (DOS, Linux, Win98,
etc.)
For Win95/98 it has a very simple to use graphic interface named PROGPIC
II.EXE
developed in Visual Basic 5.

The files are in the "Files" zone of a discussion group
named PicListLatina.

You can reach this page at:
http://www.egroups.com/group/PicListLatina
and, if you become a member, can download:
"PROGPIC II (1 de 4) Hardware y Software.zip"
Membership is totally free and unsubscribe too.

Cheers!
               Alejandro.

Hola David!

He grabado y leído sin problemas
el PIC16F877, el PIC16F876 y, por supuesto, el PIC16F84. Permite

bajo cualquier sistema operativo.

(  http://www.egroups.com/group/PicListLatina )

Bueno, suerte!!
Saludos de
                    Alejandro.

Hi David

I use the propic with picall to program Pic16f877. Check the low voltage
programming pin on the pic 16F877. I  cut the track to this pin and it to
work now.

Cheers
