Hello all,

I am very new to this, so I hope this post won't be flammed too bad.  I
checked the FAQ and can't find exactly what I am looking for.  I am looking
for a schematic and C code for a PIC (16F84) interfaced to both an LCD and a
keypad.  Does anyone have anything like this?

Thanks ,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Here's a full-duplex serial LCD terminal I did in C. It's rather big but I
hope I've documented it well enough you can strip out what you don't need.
Been meaning to do a real web page but this will have to do for now.

This doesn't answer your question directly, but are you aware of the 16C923?
It can drive an LCD glass directly without extra driver needed.

I have some 16C84 code for keypad LCD and time keeping on
http://opendesign.cx done in assembly rather than C and no schematics lying
around. but might be useful anyway.
