'[PIC]: Quick laptop PIC programmer assistance req'

Packing up and moving, and the desktop PC will be
out of commission for quite some time, but I'd like
to play with PICs in the meanwhile. So I'd like to
use the laptop with my Tait programmer in the
meanwhile. Anyone know if an IBM Thinkpad 600X has
any problems with the ports (like the low-voltage
o/p's) that would not let this work?
Cheers,
-Neil.

I have had absolutely no problem with performing LVP of a 16F873 with my
IBM Thinkpad 760 via the parallel port. The target didn't even needed to
be powered (I discovered this by accident, still don't understand
completely how this is possible). Only connecting RB3,6,7 and ground was
sufficient to reprogram the PIC.
Regards, Rob.

I have used a ThinkPad 600e with my EPIC+, which I think is a Tait-style
programmer. No problems at all. Try it out and see...
