Hi,

Is there any form of gettogether somewhere on the internet for people
who are part of this discussion forum or is it just here on the list?

Regards,
Andre Thomas

Hi,

I was thinking of something like that as well. If anyone wants to
try, I use a network called Warped (irc.warped.net) which is pretty
small and easy to connect to. I'll join a channel called #piclist
and anyone is welcome to come by.

Hm, I entered "irc.warped.net" in my browser and got the
output below. I guess I did some thing wrong (?).
And if so, what should I do to test that "channel" ?

Jan-Erik.

Jan,

You will need to download a special program to use IRC.

There are several available on the internet but one would be mIRC
(http://www.mirc.com)

You'll need to download an IRC client and install it before you will be
able to connect.

Regards,
Andre Thomas

If you download Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/ ) it has a built in IRC
client.  Then you can load
irc://irc.warped.net
And it'll start up.   IRC is a little odd for the new user.  Commands
start with a slash '/', so to join the piclist channel you use
/join piclist
Then you can type a message and press enter to send it.  To see a list
of other available channels you can use
/list
and /help gets you a long list of commands with a short synopsis for each.
