Deja vu.  Last night, 6:10pm.  (showtime: 8:00pm)  Band is set-up & ready
for sound check; keyboard player boots PC and yells "What does 'non-system
disk... press any key to continue' mean?"  I scramble & get a back-up PC
up and running by about 7:50pm.  (Yes, we have a back-up PC just for this
type of event:  the keyboard player had given to his daughter to use...
"Hey, we're playing right here in town... we won't need it...")

Deja vu part II:  the culprit Hdrive?  QUANTUM
Maybe I shouldn't let go of my laptop; a patron suggested installing a ZIP
drive this time.  Maybe so!  (Cut down on the BASS!?!! Blasphemy!)

Just remind me of what this system does that couldn't be done with a
68HC11 board like the Zorin one I was just looking at with a MIDI
expansion ( http://ZORINco.com/cgi-bin/zsc.pl?!cart!/page=giz.html )
and a few hundred K of BB-RAM, programmed in FORTH with a LC display?

Don't let the keyboard boot the system ever again, that's the
problem;  The "keyboard energies" just aren't compatible <G>

 Was it a Bigfoot?  <G>

Still think shock absorbing of some kind might help <G>
