Wow, you just made my whole day!  I left the group back many years ago
when Pat had a medical problem that put him in the hospital for many
months, and I guess I thought he never came back.  Hearing that Pat's
still there doing moderation and the group's still alive makes me very
happy!

I'll have to go figure out how to use my ISP's news server -- I haven't
been on USENET in years, but comp.dcom.telecom is one newsgroup I'd
happily get my leafnode stuff running again for to dig through the
archives and see what I've missed over the last ten years... wow.

Thanks for mentioning that Pat's still there moderating and that the
list's still going.  It's a ton of fun to read and learn there.
