In that case I would download: Lot's of e-books (especially on programming
in Delphi and C++ etc, lots of e-books on electronics, newest full version
of MPLAB, all the data sheets one could possibly get his or her hands on,
lots of movies starring hot women, even more e-books and last but not least:
as much illegal (preferably) rock music as you could possibly get your hands
on utilizing every single possible peer-to-peer network in existence today!
If you get bored, you could always attempt to *just* download the internet.
Make sure you have enough free space on your hard disk (array?) though!
Sean.

Certainly the Delphi is.
I suggest Peltier effect devices for dealing with #3. (Be sure to get
polarity correct).
For the last you could consider
http://www.rockclimbing.com/
http://www.climb.co.nz/ (Yay NZ !!!)
http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/
or just maybe
http://www.rock.com/ <- do try this

NASA's website has some extraordinary accounts of all kinds of stuff
in e-book form (.pdf, usually). For example:
ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19990026158_1999028570.pdf
ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19780012208_1978012208.pdf
http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19790020032_1979020032.pdf
Also, grab datasheets for anything you think you'll use, catalogs from
compnaies you like, and my personal favorite, video clips of people doing
unusual or incredibly dumb things.
You can look up "broadsnatching", which is taking video from RSS feeds.
Some of the videos which come from that can be quite interesting. A
surprisingly small portion is pornographic (probably under 5%), given the
pervasiveness of such content on the web. The benefit of broadsnatching
is that it can go on even while you sleep. I haven't done it in a
while, though.
It filled up my laptop's little hard drive way to fast. I should get
back to it,
though- 1/2 terabyte on my desk now!

You are right,
There is no such thing as cheap or free electronics... :)

Sure there is, but the thickness of the lid that keeps the smoke in is
unsatisfactory.
