That's right. We have more important things to do around here than
changing the measures system. For example, should we teach evolution or
creationism in SCIENCE class? We're also very busy watching scripted
reality tv shows and we don't have the time to actually LEARN a concept so
alien as a measuring system based on the number of fingers and toes in a
persons body, I mean, c'mon, what do you want from us? Isn't having 10
fingers and 10 toes enough for you now you want us to base our system in
the number 10 too?
I thought everywhere is teaching evolution excpet in the Bible study class.
Science and Religion should really be seperated IMHO.

It's the same problem with every country everywhere.
The big cities tend to have the teachers and methods more up to date,
while the interior small-town/small-village schools try to get by with
whom ever is able to get-by. Sometimes you are dealing with some very
sharp people who challenge students and keep them above the average,
other times, it's just a title, but there is no light-on and the
students suffer because that teacher is not up to par.
That's a good reason why you have state or provincial exams to try and
get or keep all schools at a consistent level whether they are in some
major metropolitan or some tiny spot few people know of.
