'[OT] Typing special characters - was Protecting PI'

On the Mac greek characters can be typed by holding Option and typing the

corresponding letter. Holding Shift and Option will give you some uppercase

greek characters. To Type µ it is Option-m.

That's probably because I sent this using a terminal based UNIX email 

client called Mutt and not from my Mac. Mutt defaults to 7-bit ASCII so

it probably killed off the mu symbol.

I don't think Mutt killed the mu symbol, because I saw it. It might not

have set the headers correctly, maybe.
