Hey does anyone know if it is possible take a shuttle PC on a plane
as carry on. Problem is I can't turn it on to show it working (without
a monitor) and not sure how well XRAYs show that it is safe. I just
don't want it bouncing around under a plane.

These days most airports don't ask you to turn on PCs to show that they
are working, rather they simply use bomb-sniffing machines to detect
explosive residue.

You'll be fine.
