As stated in an earlier post, I'm creating software for a old Radio Shack Probescope using Softwire and VB6. The softwire serial control is giving me problems. It recieves the serial stream but terminates the output string after a null char even though I have it set to recieve 280 bytes with no termination char. So I end up with varying size peices of string. Any thing to stop this. Thanks. Matt

Ended up tying a timer to the SoftWire serial control input to ping it & keep it alive. Worked great on everything except XP systems. Eventually ended up just tossing the VB6 MSComm control on the form, and using that. Now it works on everything.
