Hello again..

Another off topic - I need to implement a clock that can keep time over a
few months or even a year, including date.  This is such a common thing (how
many millions of digital watches in the world?) that there must be a one
chip solution - does anyone know what it is?

Thanks
Roland

or have a look at:
http://www.dontronics.com/rtc.html
which has about 200K of text on interfacing PIC's to real time clocks if
that is what you are after.

Hi,
I use the Ricoh R5C313 chip. Cheap, reliable, available and Y2K compliant.
Needs only some external parts, and can be read from PIC. At us, in
Hungary it costs $1.5 or so.
I hope this helps.
