'[OT] PICList is NOT closing, thanks and best wishe'

I feel compelled to actually bother to say this:

No, the PICList is not closing at this time. It could be closed at any time
if MIT decides to stop carrying it, but so far, we have been able to find
ways of keeping their sponsorship going. It wouldn't hurt to "put ones money
where ones mouth is" and make a little donation to the MIT alumni assoc in
the name of the PICList. Yes, they are a big university, but money for
education is getting thin these days and every little bit helps.

Some jerk of an admin thought it would be funny to post an April fools
thing. He did sign it "Best wishes and happy 1st" and it was posted on the
1st of April but he did not bother to clearly say "this is an April fools
joke."

For this, he has been taken out in a field, peanut butter rubbed in his
armpits and he was forced to do jumping jacks for an hour in a dust storm.
We would remove him from the position of admin, but no one else is willing
to bug people about posting with correct topic tags.

I would like to hear more on the origins and results of this peanut
butter torture.

I thought James was playing an April Fools Day joke, but
never saw the second post from him for some reason. Also,
he has mentioned MIT and the bandwidth issues before.
So, I guess it turned out to be a pretty good joke after
all.

Thanks, and let's all enjoy the list while we have it.
Also, Hats off to the ADMINS for the great job they do,
all joking aside :)
