'[OT] OLPC maker Quanta not optimistic about OLPC'
When a Chinese say that "there are difficulties in collaborating
between overseas companies and academic insinuations", he is trying
to be polite -- this normally means big problems with OLPC.
If OLPC fails, it is a pity since technically the machine is still interesting.
Then again, with lower cost Linux based small laptop and the so-called
MID, OLPC may not be that relevant technically anyway. IMHO the
philosophical and philanthropy part of OLPC may help but will not
decide the future of OLPC.
