'[OT] My apologies...'

Dear PICLISTer's,

I did not realize all my messages went through =( All I got was a bounce-back
from the list saying it was rejected. Also, what made me think it wasn't
going through is the continued replies to "Re: Example" asking for the
document; I assumed the requesters didn't see my reply. In the end, I'm sorry
for eating up valuable bandwidth.

Its not at all a big deal. No problem. That message is bad... very unclear
as Dr. Webster points out and we will change it as soon as we figure out how
and have a better message to replace it with...

No, think about it a moment ...  They repeated their replies/ requests
NOT because you didn't answer them, but because THEY got the vexatious
bounce message as well! :)

In fact, the most valuable bandwidth is not that floating about on the
'Net, but the 2000 brains reading it.  But don't sweat that, it's just
all in a day's work - or hobby as the case may be.  (In my case, the
problem is that my erstwhile hobby has been constrained to be e-mail
reading and little else - practical - and I'm not sure how to fix that
to be more productive as it's *addictive*. :)

Hey, I reckon the sarcasm makes it memorable, and as you already know,
one other admin loved it!

Nevertheless you may consider the humour too Western ethnocentric, so
I'll just butt out and leave you guys to figure that out before *I* am
Crowcrofted. :)

Crowcrofted? Like Frankensteined? The reference to a non-existent country
with a what, Slavic? sounding name was really unnecessary but not anywhere
near as damaging IMO as the incident you refer to.

The "bounce" message is, unfortunately hard coded, and L-Soft will be
advised of its adverse affect here. As time becomes available I'll
"westernize" (pansiefy? P.C.-ify? Sanitize?) your version of the message and
suggest it to them as a replacement.

Re: bandwidth, the nice thing is that all the brains on the list will now be
filtering out this thread so we can yack on and on and not really waste that
resource now, right?
