'[OT] Marine Radios'

I have a pair of handheld marine VHF radios that are not working. I believe
one was submerged - the other, I'm not sure what's dead in it. I thought
that with all the varied skills on here that someone would like to swap
something of little value for them, either to get them working again, or
simply for parts....or. if someone can get them both working and send one
back to me....or whatever...

Right now, scrap value....That means a couple of low-end or mid-range PIC's.
I'd even be willing to barter something in return or even part with a little
$ to get one back working...Would you like me to send them to you first?
Then you could decide if/what to do. Mail me off list so we don't take up
unnecessary bandwidthe here...

Would you part with them for five dollars, US currency?

If you're in NZ I'd be happy to have a go at them. But it's almost
certainly not worth trying to send them overseas.

Let me see what it would cost via the slow boat (USPS). Will check tomorrow
& get back. If it's too costly, they might just go for $5-US
Which would not be what I intended, but, whatever...
