Hi all. I'm finally ready to jump into the USB world, so I need a book to help me out. I'm looking to buy the 3rd edition of Jan Axelson's USB Complete. Catch is, I'm in Canada. amazon.ca has it for only CDN$46, but they say "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months". No dice. Chapters.ca has it in stock, but they want $20 more. Does anyone have any tips on where else to look? Thanks! They ship from NYC area and charge in USD, but collect & remit Canadian GST so it comes right through in a week or so (assuming it's in stock), with no extra charges. They do have the THIRD edition in stock. At $50 US plus shipping for non-members you'll still probably save a bit over the CDN 70 (=US 60) from Chapters, even with the 2.5% that Visa/MC steal off the interbank rate. Still, the savings aren't significant enough to warrant me waiting for a week! I think I'll try to get Chapters to match Amazon's price (though I doubt they will). Thanks! I'm going through it right now, in conjunction with Microchip's RS-232 -> USB AppNote to see if I can figure out what's going on. It seems to be somewhat helpful, but I have no feel for how it compares to the Axelson book. Anyone want to weigh in on that? Mike H.
