Hi all. I need 20 keyboards and 20 mice in London by next Friday
(don't ask...). They don't have to be anything special (cheaper is
better) though the mice must have a scroll wheel. They don't have to
be optical though.

Where is a good place to order these things, preferably online? A
place that will take returns on unused equipment would be nice as well
as I might not need all 20. The only place I know of is PC World which
is expensive or the places on Tottenham Court Road and I don't know
what pricing is like there.

Thanks!

Josh

For cheap computer perhiperals in the UK, Ebuyer is hard to beat.

http://www.ebuyer.co.uk

I've bought a lot of stuff from them over the years and never had a problem that wasn't resolved quickly.

Regards

Mike

Try rshttp://www.com , make sure you're looking at the UK version in case it's
a global site that detects your particular non-UK country of origin!

been buying things down there last year for a customer in London...
and prices were not bad, something like cheap shops in Italy (but much
more choice)

I can second the ebuyer recommendation.  I've used them for years and
the prices are always good.  I think that your first order with them
has to be delivered to your registered card address.  If you get stuck
I'd be happy to sort it out from this end if it helps.

Check the the computer markets on Tottenham Court Road on Saturday
morning. One of them is across the street from TCR station, the others
are closer to Goodge st. station (walk north from there until you see
people holding the signs!). I haven't been in London for 2 years, but
that was where I used to get the bulk of my hardware.

Hope this helps,
Jon.

Josh,

As well as what others have said (I'd avoid RSWWW by the way - far too pricey!) there's Maplin:  http://www.maplin.co.uk who do mailorder and have
a number of shops, one of them in Tottenham Court Road!  I'd guess that they don't have a stock in a shop of 20 of any one item though.  They seem
to have mice with scrollwheels and basic keyboards starting at £7 inc.VAT each, although annoyingly they seem to have eliminated quantity discounts
- at one time virtually every item had price breaks at 5 or 10 off, but it seems not any more!

I used to visit the computer fairs around Tottenham Court Road regularly, but they dwindled a bit and I got out of the habit.

Cheers,

Hi all,

Thanks for the tips! I've got a friend who uses tekheads.co.uk and
their price seems right (at least for this order). Their selection
isn't huge but they have what I need.

For anyone that's interested in meeting up I'll be in London from the
4th to the 15th. I stay in the Kensington area right by the park. I'll
be fairly busy with the PLASA exhibiton at Earl's Court until the 13th
but if you're interested in meeting me there just let me know and we
can set up a time.

Have fun!
