Ah, hedgehog. Wondered what a "hedgehoh" was. Although I did
know this girl once who....oh never mind, another day perhaps
I saw that story locally the other day. Really odd, but if you want
to make a point about someone being a p***k you throw something
appropriate I guess
And just because I may never get the opportunity to share this

Assaultee was really lucky hedgehohs don't shoot their quills

Illustrates dramatically why you don't mess with porcupines and
especially don't mess with pitbulls

Brought to New Zealand by my immigrant
forbears who want the things they were
used to in their new country. Such as
Sparrows, Blackbirds, Thrushes, Rabbits,
Stoats, Gorse and lots of other things
best left in England.

Thar, Wallaby, Possum (not the US type), horses, goats,
weasels, ferrets, ...
ANY NZ mammal except one is originally imported. The ONLY NZ
native mammal is a bat.

Fascinating. Did they import hedges?
Gorse... Hmm. Thus partridges, no doubt.

No NZ native mammalian hedges.
And, yes.
> Gorse... Hmm. Thus partridges, no doubt.
Some Partridge.
Gorse which, I'm told, is a sedate and stocky hedge in the
home country turned out to be a rampant fast spreading super
weed in the new country.
Here it envelops hillsides and is a major problem.

Too bad. Super partridges would be awesome.

:: Wondered what a "hedgehoh"
It is an erinaceinae that wantonly sells itself for the purpose of
being thrown, lobbed, chucked, catapulted, ejected in the manner of a
trebauchet at other people. Alternatively it is what happens when some
idiot designs a keyboard with 'H' next to 'G'. I mean who in their
right mind would do such a thing?
One of these days I'm going to get a Dvorack keyboard for fun.
I'm going to miss the 48 hour make a film event :(

Hence, as I have already opined, perhaps the origin of the
phrase "heave hoh"?

Actually, no. It took several minutes of careful typing to
avoid errors. There was a strong tendency to return to
normality. Strange considering :-).
I expect you as a Mensa'ite (Mensite?) to crack it asap.

My son (about 700 miles away) came back with a 'translation"
of this 24 minutes after sending.
Any early adopters here ... ? :-)

Interesting.
I typo'd the start and you typo'd the translation :-) !
ie I should have coded "It" but coded "Ir" and you decoded
"Or" rather than "Ir".
Ir is clearly in irrir so I guess that or for it is fair
enough.
How are we doing so far?
As in
"Up the chimney down and down the chimney down but not up
the chimney up nor down the chimney up."
Noting that up the chimney up may lead to up the chimney
down and thus succeed, depending on the product's design.

You offset each letter one to the right on the keyboard. I'm not sure
why Tigger is a clue, though (I guess perhaps because your name became
Tiddr ?)

Jinx,
There was a hedgehog in my garden one night last week, tidying up the food the birds had dislodged from the birdfeeders. Cute little thing!
My girlfriend trumped that a couple of days ago when she found her dog to be nose-to-nose with a Racoon! But then she's in New York, so that's allowed...

ROFLMAO! Brilliant! I've seen the bloke In Real Life, and it's not wrong, I can tell you! :-)))

Just goes to show how brainless terriers can be - give me an intelligent dog (say a Border Collie) any day...

Used to have one last year that would ravage the roast chicken
leftovers. It had had mange so was half spineless and was no
bigger than a fist with spindly naked legs. The cats would sit
around like hyenas and vultures waiting for their turn. Like a little
bit of African savanna on the front lawn it was. Hedgehogs grunt
too, which added to the spectacle

I suppose we can count ourselves lucky we live in places where
our pets aren't going to be taken by snakes, crocs, eagles, bears....
