'[EE]: LR3714AM datasheet & xtal'

Hi!

I has an old IR remote control which has a LM3714AM from sharp. No
more on the board than the chip, a couple of caps and a small blue box
(a xtal?). You can have a look at

  ftp://ftp.iac.es/out/dsg/LR3714AM/chip.png
  ftp://ftp.iac.es/out/dsg/LR3714AM/xtal.png

(the chip is on one side of the PCB and the caps and blue box on the
opposite)

The thing is that the two pins blue box has one of them broken. I have
unsuccesfully search the datasheet of the LR3714AM. I think the box is
the xtal, but at which freq.?

Any tips?

Thanks,
Diego.

I can't access those images, but the blue component is almost certainly a
ceramic resonator.  Does it have any markings on the package?

Mike

It's a ceramic resonator. The markings are not very clear in your picture
(and probably on the part) but it looks like 455kHz.

You might have to change those ceramic disk load caps to match the
replacement.

Yes, on the part the markings are not clearer.

Michael I sent you the picture of the part.

Thanks,
Diego.
