Hello,

I just went to see the m-systems flash disks, and in the online brochure
for IDE-2000 I saw this:

MTBF 1,000,000 Power On Hours (POH)
Error Rate Less than 1 error bit in 1014 bits read (min)

Knowing that IDE is IDE, what do you think this means ?! It could be
1024 bits stored with 10 bits of other (?) info and no ECC ? Opinions ?

(btw the IDE-2000 looks *good*)

Maybe we won't have to worry about y2k at all, or was that supposed to
be 10^14?

I think it means "Error Rate Less than 1 error bit in 10^14 (100000000000000) bi
ts read (min)"

;) you know, that was a verbatim quote from their page, cut & paste can't
convert '^' into *words*. I'm eager to c the corrected version.
