Dear all,

Does anyone know a source for purchasing Sharp's LZ2547 single supply
color CCD ? I've searched all the distributors I know , but nothing.

OR

Does anyone know a source for an easy-to-use color CCD?

Any info and pointers welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Argiris Kranidiotis.

Depends upon what you wish to do.  Are you trying to build a camera or
would a cheap serial/USB camera work?

If the serial/USB camea would work, try http://www.kbgear.com or
http://orders.xoom.com/jamcam1/rxmjamcam10806/

I've had problems with Sharp, too. Their opto line has some
wonderful devices, but when you ask the distributor for
price/delivery it turns out that they're only available via canoe
from Japan, at premium prices. And even their brand-new CD-Rom
catalog lists dozens of devices that turn out to be
 discontinued/obsolete.

I'd love to be proved wrong. Maybe someone can point me to a
distributor who stocks the line in depth with competitive pricing.
The last distributor we used was Sterling.
