'[OT] Canonical and KDE'
2008\02\04@211929 by Xiaofan Chen

face picon face
Last time I mentioned my opinion that Kubuntu is a 2nd class citizen
in Canonical family (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, etc). And some of
the Kubunut users do not agree.

Now I read this by a well-known KDE personality.
Quote from
www.computerworld.com.au/index.php/id;885892575;pp;2
"Canonical did not communicate well about long-term support and therefore
neglected 35 percent of their user base. A user base they routinely neglect,
but at KDE we ignore a lot of this."

And the response from Canonical.

Read some of the comments and you will know the perception of
Kubuntu users that they are not so happy and they use the word
"second-class" citizen.

I am not saying that my opinion must be true but I am saying
that I did read a lot (maybe too much) about Linux and my
opionions are not baseless.
