I have heard of LINUX and some of the other languages in this article, but never "LUNIX". I first saw this years ago in COLA (comp.os.linux.advocacy a USENET group for fanaticists ;-) I heard somewhere that it started as a satire and that some kooky soccer mom ran accross it and took it as gospel. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but it sounds plausable.

For people who know this it is a ROFL, but for a "normal" people there are too many things to catch their attention as true and enaugh things to scare. Classical tactic used in politics and advertising: Gain trust (in this cas: Is your son becoming argumentative and surly in his social behaviour? - Of course, he is becoming a teenager!!) show a link to an enemy (the word hacker had a lot of bad press recently. Hacker who is using Lunix developed by a Soviet spy is even scarier), show impact for the reader (your son will go to prison!), and call for action. Sergey
