Hi list!

Anyone who knows how to set the track width in the old ver 1.1 of Orcad
PCB Layout ? I have tried to use the width option in the pull-down menus
but all I get is bizarre results !

So, I'm giving up after some hours of
trying. I don't have the users manual here either.

With Orcad 2.2 you start a trace, type "w", adjust the width with the mouse
or up and down arrows, push the "esc" key, then continue routing. The new
width is "sticky" and replaces the default width.

Sorry, but that doesn't seem to work in 1.1 (DOS version). I can, before
starting a trace, open the 'width' menu from the pulldown menu. I then get
the question 'track or via', I select track, and I get prompted to enter
something. But what ?? Orcad itself gives no hint, I have tried all keys
on the keybord (!), and ok, anfter certain keys, including the arrow keys
the width changes randomly. I can't determine any system in these changes.

I have found one way to change the width, but it is not very comfortable,
I exit the program, type pcb /c to enter the config menu, change the
default width, save the setting and enter the program again. After that
procedure, I am almost lost. Where was I ? Absent-minded ? Yes !

As far as I recall you use the mouse to change the value. Units are selected
inch or mm. Could be from 2.x I don't remember.

I would have thought it was wanting a plain number followed by a carriage return, e.g. "1.0" or "3.5" or "0.25"
