hmmmm....I wonder how long this machine will run?  Not much airflow....hot
air being forced via the power supply fan and two little fans
blowing...which way?  Sorta cute on packaging but not very reliable.

Actually, that computer is based on VIA's MicroITX motherboard which uses an
on-board (cheap) processor which doesn't even need a heat sink on the
processor.  The whole thing runs very cool; I don't recall what exactly the
power requirement is, but I don't think it requires a full-on ATX power
supply.

Correct... some of the mobos are fanless, and others require minimal airflow.  The EPIA800 for example (800 Mhz, but performs like a Celeron 300), has a stated 55W PS requirement "for a complete system" which includes HD and CD.  But in my tests, the mobo and a laptop HD used a max of 17W!  And this has a CPU fan on it.  They run really, really cool.

The VIA forums are filled with other great examples of unconventional, and non-airy enclosures, but they still do extremely well.

Cheers,
-Neil.

I guess that I am used to dealing with dual 2.8G Xeon's with 16M of memory.
 They get warm...very very warm...

The version in my car has two 50W radios, and some other bits, with USB input, power, and serial GPS input.
I like ammo cans!
