'[OT]: using HTML in emails'

Hi everyone, i'm having trouble using html in
my outgoing emails. No this is NOT for the piclist!

I cut and pasted the entire contents of a nice html
email that I received, and tried to send it to myself
as a test.
I just receive the text with html codes visible.

So I checked the "doc source" of both emails, and
i'm guessing this is the difference:

(my emails) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
(their email) Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1"

So that's why they can send me nice html emails but
I can only send text.

Does anyone know how to change this? I went through
all the Netscape setting options I could find and
I have no idea how to fix this??

Any suggestions are welcomed, I am trying to build
a pretty "thank you" email for customers who have
bought our product.

Hmmm. Why not throw out the old hammer
and go and buy a new hammer to hit the
new nails with. ;o)

I hate installing new stuff; backing up
thousands of emails, setup hassles, then
it changes config stuff in windows for other
programs and a week later they don't work,
then I find my favorite motorbike forum
won't work with the new browser, it's 4
times as big as the old one, it needs all
new java plugins and stuff downloaded and
registered, the "new" features give abilities
that compromise security, complain, complain.
:o)

Netscape 3.04 works great, I just need someone
who can explain to me how to send html codes
in my outgoing emails. :o)

Just put the HTML codes ;o)

<HTML>
<b>HTML is bad for your (and our) e-mail health</b>
</HTML>

And it should show in bold in (their) screen

That's the problem, it doesn't. I just got your
email with the codes showing (text plain format)
and that's what happens if I try to send html
in emails too.

My Netscape sets the content type to "text/plain"
and I can't seem to change it anyhow.
