'[OT]: piclist.com access seems blocked'

Hi, everyone. I'm new, both to PICs (although I've been programming
'microcontrollers' since the 8080 was new) and to this list, which I
figured would be a terrific resource, but ...
I find that, in order to connect to http://www.piclist.com/... I have
to use my wife's AOL account. That gets through, but neither my
(admittedly not exactly vanilla) laptop nor my wife's (very vanilla
Win XP Pro) laptop can connect through verizon.net.
Is the listserver blocking verizon, is verizon blocking the
listserver, is it something else entirely or does no one know?
TIA

Maybe a DNS issue. Does it work from this?

There have been some posts about this in the past, but no conclusion that I
know of was drawn. I've never been able to get through on Verizon, nor have
several folks I've asked to try. Not sure why, but the tracepath shows where
it's dying:
12: p-2-0.lsanca1-aa2.bbnplanet.net (4.24.148.70) asymm 15 865.079ms
13: a-7-0-4.lsanca1-ar11.bbnplanet.net (4.24.45.38) asymm 16 501.348ms
14: no reply
15: no reply
16: no reply
The failure has been consistent since May, at least.
Regards, Tim

OK - people who know about this thread MAY be able to help
I send out newsletters on behalf of someone who is travelling in southeast
asia, to about 100 people.
Most get through OK. A few never get my messages, or used to and now don't.
I don't get bounce messages. One such is a yahoo.com email user.
However - there are about 6 other yahoo.com users who DO get my messages.
Most obvious cause is spam filtering on my address either at destination or
along the way. Any thoughts. I've asked the user about spam filtering at
their end but they are not overly responsive on the subject.

I take back my previous post.
I _cannot_ currently access PICLIST.COM through verizon.net.
However, if I VPN to one of my customers, I _can_ access PICLIST.COM through
their internet connection.

Originating at Verizon (Washington DC) my trace clears Verizon and dies
eleven hops later at a-7-0-4.lsanca1-ar11.bbnplanet.net [4.24.45.38]
If I had to guess (and that is all it is) there is a node out there with a
bad table. Presumably it would depend on how the query gets routed.

I have been unable to connect to the piclist website since I got my new adsl
connection. If you cant connect, try going through an anonymous proxy on the
web(I just tried this tonight, dont ask me why I didnt think of it before),
http://www.the-cloak.com worked first go, now I can look at the archives
again....(sigh of relief:-)
