You are in a poorly lit room.
There is a high-efficiency flashlight here!
It appears to be non-functional.
There is a PIC 16F84 here!
The sound of faint fan whirring comes from the north.
Passages lead to the north and south.

You really should use a 16F628 instead of the 16F84.  It's cheaper, has
more ...

Oh, never mind.

You walk forward in the dark, trip over an abandoned dead AT power supply
(internal non user replaceable fuse is fused) and pitch forward, hands
outstretched,  to impact the unseen wall. Your hands strike a horizontal
beam which moves back into the wall.  On the floor a rune illuminates in
cold electroluminsecent fire. You trace its outline with your fingers. It
says "UBICOM SX processors implement most instructions in a single clock
cycle and operate at up to ...". Being a member of the True Believers (tm)
you turn away in disgust and try to leave. As you do a trapdoor opens
beneath you and you are pitched down a long slippery ramp. The air is filled
with the sickening smell of burning Tantalum capacitors and as you slide
downwards you hear the occasional sharp explosion and spurt of flame as
another Tantalum capacitor meets its fate. You sit bolt upright in bed, your
heart thundering, and sweating profusely*. Your electric blanket is set to
high. You are in a small windowless room. A closed bedroom door is the only
obvious exit.

* - you, not your heart.

The whirring is a workstation, tied to a LAN.  You post a quick
reply stating that the F84 is good enough for you right now. A
flame war erupts but at the end of several days, you have made
your point, and shown them that sometimes a particular
solution is "good enough".   ...But,

You starve to death.

Game over.  Play again?
