Hi everyone, I am planing to build a robot at home and I heard that some semiconductor company out there offers "free samples" of their products. Is that right? Could you tell me which one? What kind of stuff do they give away? Most manufacturers give out free samples of most of their products, however the intent is for evaluation, if you need small amounts I recommend you purchase from regular sources (ie. digikey, mouser, etc.). Crystal Semi also is pretty good, I have one of their Ethernet chips they sampled with zero hassle. You can request samples from their web site.
