'[OT]: US AC Power cable'

Hi list,
Please I need some help from you US guys.
I am testing a device (120VAC) that has an US power cable (2 poles). The plug
has 2 pins and one of them is a little bit larger than the other one to polarise
the plug. Which one is the neutral? Of course the other one will be the phase
:-)
Thanks a lot for your help.

officially, the larger one is the neutral. But you cannot count on this
being
true in all household installations. You' will find that the mains wiring in
the house can be reversed. That's why you can buy "AC testers" at
home-improvement stores and radio shack :)
