We have this interesting problem of a prom that went obsolete, found a
similar device, in size and speed, but the pinout is reversed from the
original.  its  256K 8bit wide device, plcc package.  Anyone ever heard of a
company that makes a pin swapping socket?

Even something custom (probably would be anyway), but need a line on someone
that can do this.

The 68HC11 programmer we used to use (supplied by Motorola)
programmed the PLCC chip upside down. (remembers back to dark days
pre-pic).

Hi,
I have another one offer for you. If you have universal programmer, talk with ve
ndor to make this pin swapping by software. If you can't find enough agreeable c
ompany, try http://www.elenc.com/lprog_uk.htm for programmer and http://www.elen
c.com/algor_uk.htm for mentioned service (its free !!). They make all, what you
need.

(I have one and I know, what I saying).
