H G Wells - The War of the Worlds

I heard that there was going to be a re-broadcast of the original radio show
next week in the U.S (possibly elsewhere too and on the net??), but haven't
been able to find details... anyone of you hear of this?

If youd like to read it online, check out:

/

To get this back on topic, I'm also looking for a way to make a PIC based
heat ray weapon... :)
Bruce.

It will be on one of our local stations, WAEB, next Wednesday.

It's replacing a talk radio program (thankfully).

Hi,

Dunno if you knew about this already but you can listen to the original
1938 broadcast at "http://www.earthstation1.com/wotw.html" (or you used to
be able to).

Cheers,
Dan

Do you know if they have a list of stations carrying it anywhere, Jim?

Nate, I didn't see a specific listing of
stations on his website:

http://www.glennbeck.com

nor on his specific WOW web page:

http://www.glennbeck.com/wow/index.shtml .

It looks like the program will be broadcast on the
XM satellite network for starters ...

We have a local station that carries his daytime
pgm and I'm assuming they'll carry it the pgm
that evening starting live at 8 PM EST Oct 30th.

I finally found it (in case anyone else is looking) by clicking on a
right-side banner ad that said he was "Breaker 14, Breaker
14...syndicated on CB Channel 14"... that took me to a real "Affiliates"
search page.  It had no indication that this was what the link was
really for.

And he's on KVOR AM 740 in Colorado Springs, CO right now, but my
receiver isn't selective enough... I'm hearing junk from 760 here in
Denver.  So I'll fiddle and see what I can hear with some of the better
rigs other than this cheesy kitchen clock-radio!  :-)

Thanks for the head's up Jim, kinda neat to hear a modern version of
this done.  I see if I really want to I could buy a subscription to the
back-stage pass and hear it live on the web, too.
