I have scoured ST's web site, and they don't have the detailed data, just a marketing PDF. E-mails to the company go unreturned (or in some cases they bounce). This is a digital camera chip, in this case found in a CoolCam, but said to be in many others. Anyone have such a thing?

Thanks,

JB

Go to the other web site listed on the bottom of that PDF. There is more info
there, although still not a full data sheet. To get this it seems you will need
to get friendly with the company and promise to order some considerable quantity
(probably including 6 digits) over the next x years. I once enquired after a GPS
chip from ST, and was told they might start talking to me if I wanted 50,000 of
them. They are not interested in dealing in ones and twos, not even as samples
unless you are very likely to order a considerable quantity.

A wee tip...

ST love publicity...
Small numbers of parts (samples ... sort of) can be obtained on the
"Blue Ribbon Program". High profile or apps that look good in
newsletters or press releases, enhancing ST as world leader in
technology or (in our case) a careing company.
Our app was researching new anesthetic techniques using a video /
EEG data linking system.
So as a University Dept we said how this was advancing Humanity
and we would furnish pictures and a "paper" on the noble results.
( BTW It was actually true).
If you can a make a case along these lines youre home and hosed.
