Hello, someone knows how can I acess TCPMicrosoft Network (File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks) by TCP/IP protocol on an MS-DOS machine? My network connection is working. I can acess my Windows machine from my DOS machine using FTP, but haven't found a way to map drives. I've used the workgroup addon for DOS but only with NetBEUI, although it is supposed to support TCP/IP as well. I dont know about IP, but when I'm creating or using ghost disk images over the network I connect to one of our servers using IPX.. and then the 'net use' command. Found that IPX was easier to get working when all I had to work with was a boot disk. microsoft at one time had a dos client for windows networking. i know this because i ran across a copy one time, and it actually works. i don't remember if it is available as a download on the ms site or not. it is fairly hard on memory if i recall. i probably have a copy hanging around, but i doubt it is public domain. moose. Yes, I have run that(with SAMABA even). Limited NIC support. It comes on the WinNT CD's, certainly the server version, not sure about the Workstation version. Not that the DOS version does have restrictions.
