I received an AutoCad ".DWG" file and need to view it. I have an old
version of AutoCAD LT but it is too old to open the file. Anyone know
of a free/inexpensive viewer for these files? I found something called
Whip on the Autodesk web site but the drawing has to be saved in it's
special web format which does me no good.

AutoCad also makes a free viewer called Volo View.  Search for the name or
on the Autodesk site.

AutoDesk makes a free view called Volvo Express.  It allows you to view
and print dxf and dwg AutoCAD files.
